As the summers came my search for a good pore cleansing face wash began. Since my skin gets oilier during the summer, specially the T-zone area produces excess sebum that's where I get white heads. I have never used any charcoal face wash before this one so I am very exited to share my review with you guys. Now let's get into the review.

Price and Availability

Packaging


This product comes in a black plastic tube packaging with a reflective silver cap. The packaging is itself very attractive and sturdy. The opening through which the product comes out is quite big though. Since the face wash is quite runny it spills every time I pore it in my palm. No matter how much I try it just cannot be controlled. Also the product spills on the cap if kept upside down. It's just a bit too messy.

Ingredients


It contains "activated charcoal powder, neem leaf extract, apple cider vinegar, acai berry fruit extract, honey, green coffee extract, morinda fruit extract, orange pulp extract." That's it, there is no further information regarding the base, whether it has SLS or paraben or mineral oils etc. But it is mentioned on their website that Jovees is a paraben free and cruelly free brand. Still not mentioning it on the products itself is kinda odd they should have mentioned it, not everyone is going to search their website for information.

My Experience


As we shift towards the summer from winter my combination skin starts getting oily which sometimes breaks me out. My cheeks remain dry though. So I try different set of products in summers and winters. Now I tend to look out for ingredients that deep cleanse and moisturize at the same time. So I wanted to give this a try because it has activated charcoal and honey. I am so happy that I tried this. It has a very soothing mild fragrance, runny consistency that lathers up really well. The best part is that it does not smell strong, just a faint smell that fades away after massaging onto the skin. This face wash is quite thick yet very runny, the opening cannot really control how much product to deliver hence the spillage. Once I started rubbing it on my fingers it lathered up in some time but no foaming, which I like. It leaves skin squeaky clean, unclogs pores and removes even the last bit of makeup. While removing makeup I use this after wiping my face with Grnier micellar water for double cleansing which ensures my skin is super duper clean. Also it does not make my skin dry but adds a beautiful glow to my skin after every wash. I use it twice daily. This face wash has made its place in my am and pm routine. Only a little bit of this product is required to clean face and neck. It's my first ever purchase from this brand Jovees and I'm super satisfied with this product.
