A moisturizing hand cream with avocado oil & hyaluronic acid. It has a lotion like formula which promises to provide soothing relief to dry, chapped & rough skin of the overworked hands, revives skin’s lost suppleness and gives satin smooth hands. Your dry hands’ best friend for winter season.
Hi guys! Welcome or welcome back to my blog. So this winter I was looking for a hand cream and Wow Skin Science just launched their hand cream back then. They launched three variants of rose, coconut and avocado. Each one of these contain hyaluronic acid to provide soft, supple and hydrated hands. So I grabbed this Avocado variant thinking that this would be perfect for my dry finger tips. So today I am sharing my experience with this Wow Hand Cream. Now let’s get into the review.
Price & Availability
All three variants of WOW hand creams are priced at Rs.199 for 40ml of product. These have a shelf life of 2 years. Available online on all retail sites. Click here to get them.
Packaging
WOW hand creams are packed into small tubes with a flip open cap. They have a strong and sturdy packaging for the price. Small tube is travel friendly too, which is a necessity of hand creams because you can rub it into your palms whenever you feel a bit dryness. All the information regarding this product is printed on the back of the tube while the front side bears the name and logo.

My Experience
As I have mentioned I have dry finger tips, mainly because I use alcohol based sanitizers, so I was searching for a hand cream that will take care of the problem. Looking at the labels(online) I was much interested to buy one of WOW hand creams. Hyaluronic acid is a humectant, the potency to keep my hands supple even in winters. Avocado oil is highly moisturizing. Also all WOW Skin Science products are free from parabens, silicones and some other nasties. So if I had to eat or do things with a hand cream on I thought this won’t bother me much.
Once I got this product the ingredients list highly disappointed me. All the active/key ingredients are are mentioned way down below the list. I got disappointed even more when I used this for the first time. As you can see the first ingredient is water, so consider this as a runny lotion and not a cream at all. I still tried to work it on my dry hands by layering. So the first few applications gave absolutely no results. It is very fast absorbing so my skin felt exactly the same once the lotion sinks into my hands. Since this is my first ever hand cream and I have loved using some other products from this brand WOW Skin Science I kept on trying this lotion again and again hoping that it might show results over time. It did make my hands soft and supple after using this continuously for 3-4 days. The skin on the back of my hands became softer and brighter which I really liked. My dry finger tips did not heal but they became a bit soft over the time. So it worked well on those areas where dryness is not that prominent. I know the fact that a very less quantity of hyaluronic acid(HA) is needed for a well hydrated skin and it does hydrate the skin.
I expected the least amount of moisturization from this hand cream because the butters and oils are present in very less quantity. To be honest it is not moisturizing. Overworked hands are super dry because our hand do not have oil glands. So this baby is definitely not for overworked hands. Lastly I did not like the fragrance of this lotion/hand cream has. It has the same fragrance as the Vaseline Fresh Aloe Body Lotion (or Vaseline Aloe petroleum jelly) which I do not like at all, but the liking varies from person to person. It fades after a couple of minutes though. I should have bought the Rose variant for a lovely fragrance but that one was constantly out of stock after the launch and now I honestly do not want to try them anymore.
All in all this is absolutely not recommended for winters and dry hands, it works it’s best on moderately dry weather. Not recommended if you do a lot of house chores. If you have normal skin on your hands which occasionally gets a bit dry for frequently cleaning with soaps or hand washes then this hand cream is for you because it leaves almost no residue behind. Do not expect it to miraculously transform your dry hands just because it contains HA. Also if you use this on the go sweaty palms will be your travel buddy too.

My Rating
2.8/5
Do I Recommend?
I don’t recommend this to people who need intensive care for their dry hands at all. If you have absolutely normal hands and you just want them to feel soft on the go then only you can go for these hand creams, because these are very affordable. For college going people who are on a budget this is a good option given that it is always on sale on Nykaa.
Will I Repurchase?
No.
