Pantene Oil Replacement Review
New Pantene Pro-V Oil Replacement has the nourishing power of oils that comes in a creamy form. Replace the good old oiling method with this new hassle-free non sticky cream formula.
Hi everyone.
Today I am reviewing the new Pantene Pro-V Oil Replacement. I have frizzy hair so regular oiling, deep conditioning have been in my hair care routine for a long time now. But taming frizzy hair is not that simple. Using serums or after wash product is must. So when Pantene launched Oil Replacement I immediately bought it. Now let's get into the review.
Packaging
The Oil Replacement comes in a glossy golden tube packaging with a flip cap. The entire thing is sealed perfectly. You can control how much amount of product comes out by pressing the tube which ensures less wastage. Overall it looks like an expensive product by the look. It is available in two sizes of 80 ml, 180 ml and these retail for Rs.85, Rs.150 respectively. The 80ml variant is perfect for travelling, fits very easily in purse.
Ingredients
Pantene Oil Replacement contains water, stearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Dimethicone, Glutamic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, Methyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben, EDTA, Citric Acid, Panthenol, Panthenyl Ethyl Ether, Hexyl Cinnamal, Sodium Chloride, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene.
Claims
The label in the back reads "Still using old remedies for your hair issues? Today's problems need today's solutions. Pantene has invented the incredible Oil Replacement to give your hair the multiple benefits of natural oil without the inconvenience. It nourishes hair, reduces hair fall and helps repair damage. It also acts as a final touch leaving hair soft and smooth."
My Take On Pantene Oil Replacement
It is instructed to be used as a no rinse post hair wash hair cream. I use it after washing my hair when the hair is a little bit wet and then I blow dry my hair. Only a coin sized amount is required for long hair. I have shoulder length hair which needs only a drop of it. This product tames down my chemically treated frizzy hair very well. Also there is an added shine which makes my hair look gorgeous. Another thing that I love about this product is that it has an amazing fragrance that lasts whole day. So this baby comes to my rescue for no hair wash days. The claim hassle-free is true. The cream is thick but gets absorbed really quickly in hair strands. Now coming to the negative side of the product, there are some things that I feel are missing in this product which can turn it into an amazing hair care stuff. The first thing that comes in my mind is UV protection. Pantene Oil Replacement does not have any UV protection formula which is sad news for those with chemically treated hair. I have to apply some UV protectant even after using this. Also it does not contain oil but the name is oil replacement. How come a product can replace the good old oiling when it has a lot of chemicals like parabens, alcohols which are known to make hair dry. The only thing it offers is manageable hair in the blink of an eye. When I first used this my hair was changed from lifeless to gorgeous so I can't stop using it. Overall it is a good product at a very low price.
